Czesław Mozil, Miłosz Wośko, Sonos Quartet — Herbert Kameralne
Herbert Kameralne is a program composed of works created for poems by Zbigniew Herbert, performed by Czesław Mozil, Sonos Quartet and the author of the arrangement — Miłosz Wośko. Among the titles that we will hear will be Mr. Cogito o Virtue, Knock, Appeal, Small Heart and Oath, among others. Herbert's poems — usually in the form of a white poem — inspire elaborate forms, unusual compositional and arrangement solutions, which means that we are dealing with a venture on the border of the theater. Czesław's sensitivity and musical aesthetics fit perfectly into this formula, and the Sonos quartet (Marta Huget-Skiba — violin, Małgorzata Hlawsa — flute, Anna Grzybala — viola and Joanna Urbańska-Mikszta — cello) offers many illustrative and expressive possibilities.
In 2024, the artists recorded two songs from this program in the form of a video session, and on October 31, 2025 — at a concert at the Polish Radio in Lublin — they recorded the entire material, which will be released in November 2026 on a vinyl record.
The idea of creating and performing music for Herbert's poems came to Czesław after he recorded a CD with poetry by Czesław Miłosz. The next step in the realization of this idea was participation in the Herbert 3.0. concert in 2018 and in further incarnations of this venture, which inspired him to create further compositions.
The concert will also present other works by Czesław Mozil arranged for the Sonos Quartet.
After the concert, it will be possible to purchase a Herbert Kameralne album with the artists' signatures.
