This is probably the most anonymous professional group associated with film culture — the operators of projection booths, or cinematographers, otherwise known as kinomechanics or cinematographers. Without them, no seance would have taken place. In the days of photosensitive film tape, they had to be really well-qualified specialists. What was their job in the projection booth? Where and how was this profession taught? Who else remembers that there was the first film technical school in Krakow (1949—1966)? We invite you to a meeting where you will discover these secrets. It is possible that you will also learn about the history of a certain cinema family, closely related to the building at Józefitów Street.
