What does it sound like to have a whole year locked in traditional songs? During the concert, Kaja and Janusz Prusinowski, together with their friends and the Children's Music Company, will take the audience, not only the youngest, on a musical journey through four seasons. It will be a meeting full of singing, dancing and fun together with Polish folk culture, which in many points is linked to the eternal rhythm set by the Sun.
“In the morning, the sun bathed, the garden of paradise lit up, the whole world cheered!”
Long ago, our great-grandfathers did not know that the Earth is the third planet of the solar system, and the Sun is a huge star around which planets orbit, just as billions of other planets orbit other suns. However, they noticed its impact on life. In their world, it was mainly it that shone and warmed, gave strength to plants, animals and people.
For centuries in Poland, like the most beautiful flowers in a sunny garden, unique musical traditions and customs have grown up, which Kaja and Janusz Prusinowski want to tell you — together with their friends and the Children's Music Company — about.
The concert, which we will hear as part of NOSPR, will be a summary of the work done by the group, preparing four albums filled to the brim with traditional music — music of winter, spring, summer and autumn, through which the Sun leads us.
Young and slightly older artists will present a variety of songs that were once sung in the following seasons. These will be carols — both winter and spring ones — but also old games, dances, songs accompanying work, rest and holidays, field songs, forest songs, wedding songs, as well as brand new songs.
In addition to voices, we will also hear instruments: those that are blown or blown; those that have strings; those that are tapped and hit, as well as those that have keys and bellows.
The band invites you to have fun and hopes to encourage children and adults to sing, dance and reach for instruments together!
