“Four Seasons of Love” directed by Wojciech Czerwiński is a unique, original musical performance inspired by Polish folk music. It is a story about the fate of two protagonists, a woman and a man, and their great love — impossible to fulfill.
The play consists of four parts, which, like four seasons, symbolize four seasons of life and the title — four seasons of love. Contemporary arranged melodies and folk songs, echoing Vivaldi's “Four Seasons”, surprisingly convey the emotions, hopes and disappointments of the two protagonists. The subject matter and mood of the works performed live make the performance gain a narrative, allowing us to follow the fate of people whose lives are enclosed in a metaphorical picture of the transformations that take place every year in nature.
