With a Tender Eye: The Unobtrusive Portrait | Workshops

A portrait is not just a close-up of a face. During the workshop you will see how to move away from its classic form and create a more experimental image of the person being photographed.

You will work with different types of light, reflections and image multiplication. You will also use glass, transparent materials and other objects placed in front of the lens. You will try deliberate blurring, unusual shots and surprising perspectives. Together, you will look for ways to create portraits that do not show everything directly and allow you to look at the person being photographed in a less obvious way.

Conducting:

Małgorzata Fatalska — photographer, teacher. She graduated from the Film School in Lodz and is currently a student at the Institute of Creative Photography at the University of Silesia in Opava. She creates abstract photomontages and portrays people. He loves to travel. She is a big fan of the TV series “Twin Peaks”.
