Thursdays at Wiktor is a space for unique meetings, during which the art of photography becomes an inspiration for a deeper look at the contemporary world of painting. It is an opportunity not only to get to know the work of Master Viktor Volkov, but also to discover new artists, their passions and their way of perceiving reality.
This time Ewa and Sławomir Stempczyński will present their photographic work. Both took part in this year's edition of the photo competition “Volkow Effect”, organized by our Museum. Mr. Sławomir won first place, while Mrs. Eve's photograph was published in the post-competition catalogue.
They are a married couple whose childhood and youth were strongly connected with the village and everything that concerns it. Sensitivity to the surrounding nature and landscape are in their blood. For more than 15 years, combining a common passion for photography, they have been documenting the changes taking place in the rural environment. They try to preserve in pictures what is irretrievably passing away in this world. They create their photographic story mainly in the immediate vicinity — in the Ostrowski district and in the towns of the municipalities of Małkinia Górna, Brok and Poręba in Nadbuża.
