Wawel 5, Kraków

King or Queen — what exactly did these titles mean? The story of Anna Jagiellonka will allow us to look at who could exercise power and how it was obtained.
In the exhibition dedicated to Anna Jagiellonka we will learn about her life as a queen, daughter, wife, aunt. We will talk about the royal family and find out how the inheritance of the throne differed from the election of the ruler. We will also mention Jadwida Andegaweńska and the legendary Wanda.
In the workshop part we will learn what galas ink was made from — used for centuries for writing, drawing and calligraphy. We will see how much attention it takes to give the letter the intended shape.
The meeting is part of the educational and interpretive program for the temporary exhibition “Anna Jagiellonka. All the faces of the queen.”
