The production of cameras in interwar Poland escapes the attention of historians dealing with the history of the industry of the Second Polish Republic. It was handled by only four small manufactories, mainly in Warsaw, producing small quantities of equipment. Initially, they produced equipment in cooperation with foreign companies, gradually acquiring the technological competence necessary to create their own structures.
The curator of the MuFo photographic equipment collection Marek Maszczak will talk about the history of the Polish photooptic industry in the interwar period, full of surprising international connections. It will also present rare cameras, which today arouse great emotions among collectors of Polish photographic equipment.
