Poznań's green wedges are an element of an extremely coherent and visionary concept of spatial development of the city, developed in the interwar twenties by professors Władysław Czarnecki and Adam Wodziczka. Green spaces play a special role in the city space, serving all residents as recreation spaces, ecological corridors, water retention and city aeration areas.
We invite you to the October meeting of the Reading Space series, where Professor Elżbieta Raszeja, PhD, PhD, Eng., will talk about the genesis of the concept of the wedge-ring green system of Poznań, its history and current state and future in the context of contemporary visions of urban development and trends in spatial planning.
