Düsseldorf-based musician, author and storyteller Danko Rabrenović takes us on a musical journey across the Balkans. An evening full of Balkan stories and music: funny, wistful, enthralling.
Yugoslavia is dead. New states, borders and anthems dominate the image of Southeast Europe. But the “jugosphere” is alive! Especially through the common language and music. It is not only in the Eurovision Song Contest that the former Yugoslav states give each other points. Serbian bands are once again filling halls in Croatia and Bosnia and vice versa. No wonder, because the music scene in the Balkans is based on the common and very diverse pop scene of the former Yugoslavia of the 70s and 80s. And while politicians repeatedly insist on the differences between the Balkan peoples, the music focuses on similarities.
From folk songs to hits to rock superhits: This is about the music of a Yugend who has shaped generations and is still the most important link between people in the Balkans today.
A special kind of music concert that celebrates music, life and love!
