You don't talk about that

In a carefully updated version of the classic by Theater Rote Grütze, the production is about girls and boys, about love and pleasure, about feelings of shame and about how children get in their stomachs and out of there again. Shh, you don't talk about that! But why not? Director Gökşen Güntel promises a highly lively, musical and humorous production, which also shows that you can say “no” if you don't like something or you have to make your limits clear to others.

The issue of education is more relevant today than ever, as more and more families are talking about it less and less. What is important about the body? Why do girls have vulvas? Why do boys have small bags behind their penis? Why do you kiss? Is it embarrassing to see someone else's penis or vulva? All of these questions are incredibly exciting for children — and not always easy to answer for many adults.

With her production, Gökşen Güntel shows us that you can overcome all sorts of hurdles with a smile. Together with her musical director Carsten Klatte, she continues to spin the thread and turns the brittle topic of enlightenment into a cheerful journey of discovery with universal significance. For them, dealing with their own bodies shows in a wonderful way that we are all equal beyond all religious, ethnic or political barriers.
