What to do when the feelings get too much If you want to navigate through chaos in your head, you first need a clear view. The Color Monster tackles this very complex topic with lots of humor, courage and creativity. Individual feelings are examined in six lovely miniatures: Each emotion finds its way directly to the heart through characteristic music (cello and ukulele). The piece is comforting and exhilarating — the color monster is a figure of identification and encourages young and old theatre-goers to share their feelings, however monstrous they may seem.
Directed by Stefan Kreissig, Mathieu Pelletier (researcher) and Nikolaus Herdieckerhoff (Farbenmonster), an empathetic adaptation of Anna Llenas' classic children's book is being created, which playfully shows children their own world of emotions and helps them to get to know and understand their own emotional world. In the end, one thing is absolutely clear: The best way to deal with our complex inner world is with courage and wit.
