Jojo, 17, is angry at the world — and the world at him. After a theft, he is sentenced to community service in a retirement home. There he meets Leo, who doesn't say a word. But the longer Jojo is forced to deal with Leo, the more the silent man talks about his past. Because once upon a time, the grim old man was a professional boxer who fell hard — in the ring and in life. A connection develops between the two. Leo challenges Jojo to get rid of habits, excuses and fears, and at the same time Jojo finds in Leo an ally who understands him without many words. They make a plan that gives them both the chance to take control of their own lives.
In 1996, thirty years after its premiere at the GRIPS Theater, this classic of youth theatre returns and takes a new look at the dialogue between generations and questions of vulnerability, solidarity and respect.
