The Neinhorn

The Neinhorn is born in the Heart Forest, a sugary magical world with “supersonny sun hills” and “wildly flowing waterfalls.” His permanently happy conspecifics really get on the nerve of the Neinhorn. So it says goodbye with a snotty “Bye then! “from the lovely homeland.

On his journey, he meets the Wasbear, the Nahund, and the King's Daughter, and reluctantly finds new friends in them. The Neinhorn is a cheeky story full of language humor that rejects every message. But who knows, the protagonists' motley dialogues might sound familiar to one or the other.

Fairytalically minimalistic: In her production, director Birga Ipsen adapts the inexhaustible imagination of playing children and creates a magical world from just a few elements. Dialogues flow smoothly into songs, which have been enriched with marimba, glockenspiele, ocarina and nose flute under the direction of Matthias Witting.
