Mollie McGinn and Orláith Forsythe met while competing against each other in an Irish-language singing competition. Moments later, they spent their free time performing together for days on the streets of Belfast. Their rendition of “Oh Well” from Fleetwood Mac's repertoire made a splash on the internet, and then, with the single “Make You My Star”, they conquered the UK iTunes Rock Charts and performed at some of the biggest music festivals on the islands.

Dea Matrona's debut album “For Your Sins” was released in 2024. Released and produced in the spirit of DIY, the album led the duo to first place in the charts of the best independent albums in the UK, appearances at Glastonbury and The Royal Albert Hall, as well as supporting Sting, Bryan Adams, Sheryl Crow and The Darkness. Their next album “Hate That I Care” has just been released, with which Mollie and Orláith will play in early March in Vilnius and Warsaw!
