Death and the Afterlife. Halloween at The Glyptotek

To mark Halloween, join us for a special guided tour exploring death, the afterlife, and the stories that have made death both fascinating and frightening throughout history.

Durata: 60 min.

We explore Glyptotek's collections and hear gruesome and macabre tales from both modern art and ancient Egypt. Along the way, we encounter different ideas about death and the afterlife — including one of the world's earliest “ghost stories”.

We also descend into the museum's mummy cellar, where we take a closer look at the ancient Egyptians' ideas about what awaits us on the other side.
