Splat Debate! FilmFest. Does posthorror even exist?
Posthorror — a concept that has become well established in the language of film criticism and discussions of horror cinema. But what does it actually mean? Is there a clear definition of it, or rather, we are dealing with a term that everyone understands a little differently?
During the debate we will try to look deeper under this label. We will consider what films are called post-horror, where did the need to create such a term come from and what is actually behind it. Does it describe a real phenomenon in cinema, or rather the way we try to organize and call modern horror?
The debate will be attended by: Tomasz Kolankiewicz, Ewelina Leszczyńska and Łukasz Orbitowski.
Hosted by Monika Stolat.
29 October | 18:00 | Warsaw | Kinoteka | room no. 2
Admission is free.
