DENNIS & JESKO BAND

The Dennis & Jesko Band — satirical soccer hits with lots of BOOM for young and old!

“Here goes long, bidde” — With this distinctive opener, the Dennis & Jesko Band has been creating a good atmosphere for years. Composed of award-winning satirists and comedians Dennis Kaupp and Jesko Friedrich as well as their third band member and producer Markus Baier, the band has established a firm place in the German media landscape. With over 500 million views on the YouTube channel WUMMS and many audio streams on various platforms, the Dennis & Jesko Band is a phenomenon — not just online.

The band is known for their satirical songs, which deal in particular with the topic of soccer humorously and critically. Her songs are particularly popular with young fans — the kids have been able to sing them by heart for a long time! In addition to their first super hit “RAMBO RAMOS”, which became a veritable catchy song with over 58 million hits, the trio has other well-known schoolyard hits such as “The Lewandowski Song”, “The Mbappé Song”, “The Messi-Ronaldo (GOAT) Song” and “The Antonio Rüdiger Song” in their repertoire. With their catchy melodies and funny lyrics, they capture the spirit of the times and make both children and adults smile.

The three creative minds who have been writing their WUMMS songs themselves since 2020 have known each other for a long time: Markus has been producing Dennis and Jesko's satire songs for “Extra 3” (ARD) on the right soundtrack for over a decade. The humorous productions by Dennis & Jesko are also an integral part of this cult satire program. Her extra 3 section “Johannes Schlüter” was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2009 and the Juliane Bartel Media Prize in 2013.

With their songs on WUMMS, an online channel produced by NDR and Radio Bremen, the Dennis & Jesko Band makes a clear statement: for passion, fairness and against commerce, hate and violence. WUMMS is the format for everyone who looks at sport with a wink and is in the mood for sharp, satirical, but sometimes nonsense lyrics. The Dennis & Jesko Band is therefore more than just a band — it is a media phenomenon that inspires a wide fan base with humor, ingenuity and an inimitable sense for soccer topics. If you don't know them yet, you should listen to them on YouTube or Spotify and roar along to a few of their accurate songs!
