Free protection for children

A game in the schoolyard. Max has no chance against Kilian and is excluded from his team. Now it's hard to see Agathe, with whom he has fallen in love. Later, Kaspar from his group ambushes him and promises him a magic remedy that will make everything work out. Although Agathe and her girlfriend Max advise against it, he meets Kaspar at night and allows himself to be persuaded to take the magic drug. The next day, it should help him in the decisive game...

With the emotive music from Carl Maria von Weber's famous opera, director Kai Anne Schuhmacher tells a contemporary version of the story. The young audience is invited to participate in individual numbers from the auditorium, which are prepared in advance together with schools. In the overwhelming atmosphere of the State Opera's Great Hall, children aged eight and over can dive into the fascinating world of opera in a special way.
