Desert Fury

In the gritty desert town of Chuckawalla in Nevada, Paula (Lizabeth Scott) falls in love with gangster Eddie Bendix (John Hodiak) — something that doesn't exactly faze her mother, casino owner Fritzi (Mary Astor). The relationship simultaneously arouses jealousy in Eddie's sidekick Johnny (Wendell Corey), while local policeman Tom (Burt Lancaster) also becomes entangled in the conflict. A wonderfully peculiar — and erotic — Technicolor noir.
