Find your strengths and feel more confident sharing your work in this informal, practical session led by photographer, director and mentor James Pearson-Howes. James will share what he’s learnt along the way, including the ups and downs of working as a photographer.
We’ll look at what makes your work stand out, how to approach clients and how to deal with rejection, self-doubt and creative blocks.
Bring your work! Once you’ve booked, we’ll ask you to send three photographs to develop@tpg.org.uk by 12 October. We’ll print them and have them ready at the session to give everyone a chance to share their and talk about work.
What is Develop | In Practice?
Develop | In Practice is a series of events where participants have the opportunity to ask questions, take part in an activity and connect with others interested in the field. Each session is designed to help the group develop new skills, gain insight into different creative careers, and leave with practical advice they can apply to their own practice.
Develop | In Practice is part of a wider Develop programme that supports pupils and emerging photographers/artists in learning, speaking about photography, and enhancing their photography-related careers.
