The Three Robbers

An inflated muscleman (robber jajaja), an unkempt fat belly (robber fat bag) and a prickly sinister (robber wink eye) are the three robbers. During their dreaded raids, they accumulate vast amounts of stolen goods and are constantly in dispute over the distribution of their treasures. One night, however, the little orphan girl Tiffany comes into her life and confronts her with the question of the meaning of what she is doing.

In fact, a whiff of conversational culture and personal hygiene is slowly entering the den of robbers. But when Tiffany challenges the robbers to reconsider their philosophy of life, they react stubbornly and grimly — and in the end have to painfully recognize that it is precisely the important things in life that money cannot buy.

Director Kay Dietrich takes up the original power of the classic picture book by Tomi Ungerer, but also takes a socio-critical look at what happened: How do we deal with each other? What are our goals? Are we really happy with what we build up over the course of our lives? The quirky characters of the Three Robbers and Whirlwind Tiffany also offer opportunities for joyful laughter again and again!
