THE IDLE GANGSTERS

” We need to work more in Germany again! “demands the chancellor. But how lazy is Neukölln really?

Eight Berliners come together in their home port as a temporary office community and get involved in the current discussion about work and the welfare state. They report on their everyday life in hospital, at the EU, in daycare, from withdrawing citizens' benefits or in the trade union. Why is working with machines more valuable than working with people? Why is working with your head worth more than working with your hands?

Stuck between hustle culture, secret confessions and existential anxiety, Berliners dream of a cuddly office job. That's when the workforce turns into real idly gangsters: Do we have to learn how to be lazy again? Can we fight the meritocracy from the coffee kitchen? But now we'll have a disco break and then we'll really do 'Rambo Zambo. '
