You want both things from a band you love: that they surprise and remain completely themselves. With their third album “Ideale”, The Losers achieve exactly that. What you expect from them hardly seems to matter. Big choruses, long pieces, instrumental passages and more experimental moments take the songs in unexpected directions. Then suddenly there is an almost cheesy, openly sentimental moment with “bombs.” But the losers are so relaxed about it that they catch you with things you don't actually like.
The songs differ significantly from each other and result in a closed album. They are held together by the band's unmistakable sound, which decisively shapes their identity. In addition, there is the enthralling energy that has characterized Die Loserer since their first album.
Despite all musical freedom, the posture remains stable. The lyrics are clearly political: against greed, war and the powerful who decide, make money and leave the consequences to others. The lyrics do not stop with disorientation and a gloomy inventory. The only counterforce that focuses more than before is the connection between people: a hand, a touch, a shared moment or a grain of hope in hopelessness. What the lyrics say clearly can be felt in the freedom and energy of the music.
“Dornbusch” sums up what makes up this band at its core. Five people add something intimate, each voice stays with itself, and together they create something that only these five can produce.
The last sentence of the album sticks: “You can't save the world in slow motion.” A rejection of standing still and looking away — a fitting end to an album that takes a serious look at the world and never loses its energy. (V.Varlet)
Social tickets are available for the concert at a lower price; these tickets are limited. Please leave them for the people who really need them! Conversely, there are supporter tickets that you can purchase and thus support the band and venue.
