Digger

A black comedy and satire that tells the story of the most powerful man in the world who sets out on a desperate mission to prove that he is the savior of humanity from the catastrophe he himself caused.

The main character, Digger Rockwell (played by Tom Cruise), is an exciting Texas billionaire and oil tycoon. On its oil rig, a massive disaster and a leak occurs that threatens global security (warning of a giant glacier appears, among others). Wanting to avoid responsibility and save his image, the hero makes a ridiculous attempt to save the planet on his own.

The production is often compared to Stanley Kubrick's classic satirical film “Dr. Strangelove”, and the character played by Cruise evokes associations with modern technological and industrial giants (such as Elon Musk).
