Dirty Honey starts 2027 with new music: Just a few weeks after the release of their third studio album Catch My Butterfly on January 15, the rock band from Los Angeles is coming to Germany with their Lights Out EU/UK Tour '27. Between February 4 and 16, four shows are on the program in Bochum, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich. With their first two singles Lights Out and Butterfly, the trio is already giving a foretaste of an album that broadens Dirty Honey musically without sacrificing the energy and directness that have shaped the band's sound since their breakthrough. Since 2019, Dirty Honey have established themselves as one of the most distinctive rock bands of their generation. With their breakthrough single When I'm Gone, the band made history: The song was the first track by a then-unsigned act to reach number 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts. This was followed by the self-titled debut album Dirty Honey and Can't Find The Brakes, which was number 2 on Billb in 2023

About the event

This was followed by the self-titled debut album Dirty Honey and Can't Find The Brakes, which entered number 2 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums charts in 2023. Tours with Guns N' Roses and The Black Crowes as well as numerous sold-out own headline shows have also made Marc LaBelle, John Notto and Justin Smolian an international fixture in modern rock. With Catch My Butterfly, the band's next phase is now beginning. For their third studio album, Dirty Honey worked with producer John Feldmann, who worked for Yungblud, blink-182 and Korn, among others. Together, they expanded the band's sound while maintaining its roughness and rock'n'roll DNA. “Catch My Butterfly shows the full range of what we can do as musicians and songwriters. We're not mayflies,” says bassist Justin Smolian, describing the album's claim. The first two singles already show how wide this range is. Lights Out opens the new chapter with powerful riffs, driving bass and immediate rock energy. Guitarist John Notto describes the song as “the first hit” of the album — but at the same time only as a foretaste of what's to come. Butterfly provides a clear contrast: acoustic guitar, strings and the soulful side of Marc LaBelle's voice meet a personal text about addiction, loss and concern for a loved one. “I'm very proud of our persistence,” says LaBelle about the making of the new album. “We've made mistakes in the studio, overcome past disappointments, gained more life experience and became better songwriters. All of these things have added up to Catch My Butterfly. ”
