Discovering our Collections through Ephemera

Join Ed and Vik from our library team for an interactive workshop about ephemera in our collections.

We hold a treasure trove of material from the past to the present day, including postcards, leaflets, packaging and more. Many of these items were originally considered disposable, but are now considered historically significant. In this hour-long session, you’ll explore a selection of examples from our collection.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll have the chance to create your own piece of ephemera.

We’ll be in the Viewing Room. It’s next to the Library entrance on level 2, which you can reach by taking the lift or the stairs.

This event is wheelchair accessible, which means people in wheelchairs can access the location with relative ease.

Ed is a Library Experience and Engagement Facilitator who has worked at Wellcome for many years. He has in-depth knowledge of engaging with the collections.
