DKF “The Good Boy” directed by Jan Komasa

We invite you to the second DKF in the new season. This time we invite you to the film “The Good Boy”, another international production of Jan Komasa, director nominated for the Oscar “Body of God” and the high-profile films “Hejter” and “City of 44”.

Nineteen-year-old Tommy (Anson Boon) enjoys his carefree, stimulating and reckless violent life. One night he is kidnapped by a stranger, Chris (Stephen Graham). Waking up in the basement of a remote house, the boy finds himself in the middle of a dysfunctional family dynamic. Chris and his mysterious wife Kathryn (Andrea Riseborough) try to make him a “good boy” through forced and specific resocialization. This perverse tale of freedom and control shows how, forced to read books and learn manners, Tommy thinks only of one thing - how to get out of there.
