DKF Halszka: STRANGER

We invite you to the next meeting with DKF Halszka on 21 October at 18:30.

STRANGER, directed by François Ozon, 120 minutes, France, drama

The Stranger, directed by François Ozon, is a new adaptation of one of the most outstanding French novels of the 20th century by Albert Camus. Presented in the Main Competition of the Venice Festival, it is still an extremely topical story about the search for meaning in a world where all meaning has been lost.

“Stranger” is the story of Meursault, a young man, a modest official, whose daily routine is not interrupted even by the death of his mother. Everything changes one hot day when a tragic event occurs on the beach with his participation.

The latest work by François Ozon (“Double Lover”, “8 Women”) stars Benjamin Voisin (“Lost Illusions”, “Summer of '85"), Rebecca Marder (“My Crime”), as well as Cezar-awarded Pierre Lotin (“High and Low Tones”). Sparing dialogues and beautiful black and white pictures, which are a tribute to classic cinema, build a unique atmosphere of the film.

The meeting with the film will be hosted by Dominika Stachowiak Michał Sołtysek.
