DKF ŻAK: Sentimental value

Sentimental Value/Affeksjonsverdi dir. Joachim Trier, cast: Stellan Skarsgård, Renate Reinsve, Ella Fanning — 2025 — Norway, Denmark, France, United Kingdom — 115 min. — screening with lecture and discourse + audio description + extended subtitles + translation into Polish Sign Language

We invite you to the screening of “Sentimental Value” in the cinema hall of the Żak Club — November 20 at 10:00.

It is the Oscar-winning story of two sisters, Agnes and Nora, who, years later, meet their father, a once-famous film director. The man wants to return to filming films and offers Nora a role in his latest production. When her daughter refuses, she hires a young Hollywood star to replace her. This decision further complicates the family relationships of the characters.

We want everyone to be able to participate in the screening without hindrance, so we will play the film with extended subtitles, translation into Polish Sign Language (PJM) and audio description that does not require headphones, heard directly from the cinema speakers. A lecture and discussion will also be translated at PJM so that each participant can share their impressions.
