Dandelions

Dendelion, Baraban, Léonto and Taraxa are an extraordinary family of sensitive, delicate and tiny — yet courageous — dandelions that are separated from their mother plant when disaster strikes the Earth. Happily rescued from a nuclear explosion that destroyed their paradise, they are thrown into space and embark on a magical interplanetary adventure to find a new home and settle there permanently. Traversing stellar constellations in search of a new place, they find other planets, make new friends, but also encounter dangers from creatures larger than themselves and mysterious, unknown elements. This uniquely soothing, heart-catching and fascinating animated film combines stunning nature microphotography with unique animation. It shows us that nature is more than the background of our actions, that all the little things around us are important, that the smallest blade of grass can move to tears, and our strength is unity with all creatures and the protection of our planet. “Dandelions”, winner of the FIPRESCI Prize in Cannes and the Special Jury Award in Annecy, produced by the creators of “Microcosm”, with the sound of Nicholas Becker (Oscar for “Sound of Metal”), are an ideal proposal for moviegoers, nature lovers and school groups.
