After escaping from a refugee camp in Lebanon, Palestinian cousins Chatila and Reda end up in Athens, where they live in limbo, deprived of prospects and a sense of belonging. Dreaming of getting to Germany and starting a new life, they try to get money for fake passports, getting involved in further risky ventures. Over time, their desperate struggle for a better future spirals out of control, forcing them to cross new frontiers — including their own. Mahdi Fleifel's debut feature film is an emotional drama with elements of a thriller, inspired by real events and combining the sensitivity of documentary cinema with the energy of Hollywood films of the 70s.
