We invite you to the last open tour in English of the exhibition State of Possession, in which we present more than 100 works from the MOCAK Collection. Among them are works by Sarah Lucas, Agnieszka Kurant, Rafał Bujnowski, Jerzy Beresi or Katarzyna Kozyra.
The exposition, in which we face the theme of the crisis, is divided into five chapters: Ruins, Corners, Mud, Cabinets and Springs. As curator Kamil Kuitkowski writes, “this exhibition is built on the experience of lack of: time and stability, and above all financial resources — the lack resulting from the implosion of the institution's budget and the exhaustion of resources necessary for the implementation of the planned activities”. The message of Possession, however, is: “Crises are there for spring to come.”
Conducted by: Zuzanna Świętek - a graduate of master's studies in cultural studies specializing in cultural texts, student of performatics at the Jagiellonian University. She works with MOCAK as an educator.
