DOBRE Kino - Fatima

Klaps Cinema in Limanowa invites you to the new film series “DOBRE Kino” — an initiative that will combine valuable cinema with reflection, conversation and meetings with invited guests. The series will present films addressing the themes of faith, spirituality, Christian values and important questions about human life and its relationship with God and other man. The next meeting will take place on October 12, 2026.

Cinema that prompts conversation

“DOBRE Kino” is created for viewers looking for something more than entertainment in the cinema. We want to create a space in which the film will be the beginning of reflection on important issues, often difficult and touching fundamental questions about faith, spirituality, relationships, choices and values that we are guided by in everyday life.

The repertoire of the series will include valuable productions dealing with religious and spiritual themes, but also films telling about man - his experiences, his search for meaning, hope, responsibility and relationships with other people.

We want “DOBRE Kino” to be not only a place to watch movies, but above all a space for meeting and dialogue.

Another meeting — “Fatima”

The October meeting in the “DOBRE Kino” series will take place on October 12, 2026 at 18:30. The date of the meeting and the film we chose are not accidental. Exactly one day later is the anniversary of the last apparition in Fatima. We want the screening of a film of this very title to become an opportunity to dwell on the themes of faith, spirituality and the special place of the prayer of the Rosary and Mary in the lives of all believers.

The film “Fatima” brings closer the events of 1917. The world is plunged into the darkness of the First World War. The small Portuguese village of Fatima, as well as thousands of towns across Europe, are receiving dramatic news of thousands of dead. Mutilated and hopeless veterans are returning home. In such moments, it is easy to doubt and break down. It is in these circumstances that the three children of Fatima experience an extraordinary encounter. The Mother of God appears to their eyes to give them prophecies for the world. The children's accounts of this event are met with great skepticism from both lay people and representatives of the Church.

No one takes children's stories seriously. And yet the news of the miraculous events of Fatima spreads further and further. Thousands of pilgrims arrive in the village, and the miracle of Fatima begins to change their fate, exerting an enormous influence also on the institution of the Church and on the whole world.

DOBRE Kino — a meeting of film, faith and reflection

We hope that the new series will be permanently included in the Klaps Cinema's calendar of events and will bring together viewers who want to discover valuable cinema together, talk and share reflections on what is important.

“DOBRE Kino” is intended to be a meeting place for culture, film, faith and conversation about what is really important in life.
