What movie are we going to seThis evening we are going to see the documentary “Mr. Nobody against Putin” (2025). The film is directed by David Borenstein. Pavel Talankin is co-director and co-starring in the film.
Pavel (called Pasha) is a teacher in a small Russian town. As Putin imposes propaganda and war lessons on the school curriculum, Pasha is forced to film and document children reciting nonsensical texts and teachers reading out incomprehensible slogans to their classes. In protest and in all secrecy, Pavel starts smuggling the videos out of Russia. At the same time, he begins to film how the propaganda and war affect the society in which he lives.
The evening's guest and presenter After the film, there will be a presentation and conversation with Mille Rode, Secretary General of Danish PEN. Danish PEN is part of PEN International, an association of writers whose aim is to defend freedom of expression and the right to the free exercise of all forms of artistic expression.
