We return with the Dom Kultur cycle after the holidays. This time we want to create a common listening platform based on the stories, materials and effects of the workshops of the previous part of the initiative, enriching them with new materials that will be created at the workshops. The “Listening Room” will be an interdisciplinary creative workshop combining the practice of sound mindfulness, recording skills and field-recording works with the creation of mini-stories that will be interpreted actorily.
We continue to lean on the theme of “home” as a refuge from modern crises. Once again, we want to artistically process the experience of home warmth and habitation through different forms of art. During the workshop we want, on the one hand, to perceive, record and arrange sound events that we associate with the house or are an expression of our experience of living; on the other hand, to create together a series of mini-stories, poetic sentences that will serve us for acting fun consisting in the exploration of oneself, voice, body and emotions - these will be recorded and They will be part of the final show. We will be inspired by shared experiences, childhood memories and dreams of home.
The final will be the official listening of the concert in the Forge in November, combined with a laser presentation on the patio and a summary of the whole year of activities of the Dom Kultur initiative.
Participation in workshops does not require special skills, only openness to experimentation. We provide sound recording equipment.

About the initiative Dom Kultur is an interdisciplinary artistic and social project responding to the contemporary need to build cultural resilience to global and local crises. The aim of the project is an artistic reflection on the theme of the house and the symbolism of the living space. The eponymous “House” is conceived in the project as a kind of “shelter” from the danger of the modern world and the experiences of social, war, climatic and cultural crises. “House of Cultures” signifies the diversity of its history, customs and rituals. In the first part, the project included a series of workshops with artists aimed at local communities, people experiencing refugees and people from abroad settled in Poland. The result was an art exhibition consisting of objects inspired by home spaces enhanced by a sound space containing personal stories of the participants of the project.
Plan of meetings of the first part of the initiative:
Part 1. House Talks | storytelligowy workshop - held on March 21, 2026
Part 2. Building a Safe Place | Visual Workshop — Held on April 18, 2026
