Small bodies tirelessly process matter wherever it lives. He who crosses the world produces the world. Without decomposition, there is no growth and photosynthesis. The concert begins to get acquainted with the sessions from the ground floor and the basement. It is there, in the twilight, that the world is produced and eaten, which we also want to eat. One of the families that perishes next door are springtails, secretive creatures older than us and many other species. Silent allies of soil, fungi, plants and plant breeders.

“Neighbors from the Ground Floor” is a concert of music created as part of the project of Anna Jurkiewicz Silent Partners with the participation of special guest — Jacek Szczepank. Minimalist poetic forms and songs and field recordings are the starting point for vocal and electronic experiments and improvisations. The anthem of the voiceless continent of Mulch will sound. Onomatopoeias and imperfections will play. Kixes, non-accented consonants and sounds from the gray zone at the border of speech and breathing. The concert enveloped the listeners with rustles and glissandas, but also with dissonance. Jacek Szczepanek will improvise for this on flutes.
