28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds. The countdown starts all over again. Are you ready to discover the secret of Donnie Darko? Richard Kelly invites you to re-enter the dreamy world of Middlesex in a version that sheds a whole new light on the story of a teenager haunted by a rabbit named Frank. Meet the director's version of the iconic 2004 “Donnie Darko”, where you'll hear new tracks (including INXS' “Never Tear Us Apart”), see new scenes and unravel the mysteries of the cinematic version. Donnie Darko (Jake Gyllenhaal) is not your typical high school student. He struggles with sleepwalking and visions that his surroundings recognize as symptoms of mental illness. The line between reality and dream begins to crack when she meets a dark rabbit named Frank. While parents and teachers try to force Donnie into the framework of normality, the boy begins to see invisible connections in the world. The director's version of Richard Kelly's film is a fascinating journey through the American suburbs of the 80s, where philosophical questions, quantum physics and a desperate struggle for the meaning of existence hide under the mask of tranquility.
