“Dorota Piotrowska & Sound Circle — Voices of Human Consciousness” is a global jazz dialogue bringing together the voices of six cultures.
From Norwegian fjords to Arabic rhythms, from Polish lyric to American jazz tradition. It's music that attracts attention. An international line-up of performers with a reputation established on the world stages and Dorota Piotrowska, the agent of the whole venture — producer, leader of the band and drummer from Poland, who wants to talk about what is important.
“Voices of Human Consciousness” is the title of a double release, which was published by the publishing house Teraz Taraz conducted by pianist Leszek Możdżer, and the worldwide distribution is guaranteed by Greg Osby's Inner Circle Music.
The premiere of the album, together with a promotional concert, took place in April 2026 during the Jazz on the Odra festival in Wrocław.
The concert consists of elaborate compositions, involving the listener on a journey through musical landscapes in which traditional jazz does not exclude the breaking of conventions. The theme is a combination of voices from many cultures and musical worlds, for which the common denominator is contemporary improvised music.
