Downtown July hits VEGA with honest emotion encapsulated in quivering poetry

With a victory in the Career Cannon, the title of The Inevitable of the Week and an acclaimed debut album in the back, Downtown July now occupies VEGA.

Forward-looking Downtown July has had a sprawling year and is making a strong mark at this summer's festivals, now they are bringing their deeply personal and moving music to headliner concerts in VEGA.

In February, Downtown July released their long-awaited debut album Crawl Before We Go - an album that encapsulates six years of development, friendship and artistic ambition. Musically, it moves in a field where loud poetry meets informal flabbiness, and where introverted emotions are shouted out over pumping grooves and poignant melodies. The album garnered five stars by GAFFA and received words of praise along the way:

Behind the band, which calls itself a Middle German love invasion, are five friends who, since they were very young, have found a free space together in music. They have been predicted by GAFFA to become one of Denmark's big music names and are on the verge of their breakthrough.
