DR Big Band
After six seasons of close collaboration and a joint Grammy nomination, the relationship between DR Big Band and Miho Hazama has evolved into a unique musical partnership that has put both band and conductor on the jazz world map in earnest.
Now Miho Hazama and DR Big Band open season 2026-27 with a bang that resonates not only throughout Denmark, but also internationally.
A new album entitled 'Frames', full of Hazama's own compositions, is released on the acclaimed record label Edition Records — and can be experienced live for the first time in its entirety at the concert, which also features real jazz gold from the band's rich archive and highlights from its recent 60th anniversary.
The band marks the opening of the season with a tour to venues across Denmark, before travelling to Japan for the third time, where they are invited to perform at a number of acclaimed jazz venues, where Miho Hazama has regular stardom.
