DR Big Band presents Robinson Khoury

DR Big Band

“Robinson Khoudry touches the sublime”.

This is what a leading French jazz magazine recently wrote about trombonist Robinson Khoury, who has also been called “an extremely gifted musician” by the newspaper Libération.

Here is the opportunity to experience the nerve, chemistry and curiosity when the young French multi-artist meets the DR Big Band for the first time — without a safety net and with maximum artistic freedom.

The evening is full of completely new tones, drawing musical threads to world music, classical music, grooves, improvisation and Khoury's own Lebanese roots.

Taking centre stage is Khoury's virtuosic and visionary trombone playing, but also his soft and expressive vocals, which move freely between song, sound and mood.

Together with the strong sound of DR Big Band and Jochen Neuffer's sharp arrangements and management, a concert awaits where anything can happen — a rare opportunity to experience one of Europe's most exciting young jazz artists right now.
