Dr. Misio

Dr. Misio is a male crew led by Ark Jakubik — one of the most recognizable Polish actors and a screenwriter and director associated with ambitious film projects on the cultural map of Poland, known among others for his great dramatic roles in Wojtek Smarzowski's films (“Wedding”, “Bad House”, “Drogówka”, “Wołyń”, “Kler”).

In addition to Jakubik, Paweł Derentowicz, Paweł Pittner, Adam Czarnecki and Romuald Rojewski complete the line-up. The band members classify their music as rock & roll.

Dr. Misio plays hardcore rock & roll without forgiveness. Solid sound, heavy riffs, excellent and wise lyrics by Krzysztof Warga and Marcin Święlicki, as well as the lack of musical compromise make it a new and original proposal not only for rock fans, but above all for people seeking intellectual impressions and reflections in art, open to form and not afraid of common, non-trivial Ritual fun.

The band has four albums to their credit: “Młodzi” and “Pogo”, “Zvartwychwstranemy,” “Strach XXI siècle”.

In November 2023, Dr. Misio released their last, fifth album entitled “Chory na Polska”. The music video for the title track promoting the album was made by Piotr Domalewski. From October 5, 2023, you can also watch another music video promoting the album — to the song “Wielkie cie”, directed by Wojtek Smarzowski.

Dr. Misio played countless concerts all over Poland and abroad — from intimate clubs to large outdoor concerts and festivals such as Jarocin, Przystanek Woodstock, Męskie Granie, Cieszanów Rock Festival, Co Jest Grane Festival, Top Trendy Festival or Top of the Top Festival.
