DR Vocal Ensemble
This year's Easter concerts with the DR Vocal Ensemble and Martina Batič move into the deepest themes of Easter with music by a number of masterful composers.
Paweł Łukaszewski's evocative Responsoria Tenebrae creates an intense, almost dark atmosphere in which the singing voices carry both sadness and hope. Alfred Schnittke's Three Psalms add a dramatic and meditative dimension, while Andris Dzenītis, with his musical prayer, gives room for reflection and fervor.
Arvo Pärt's iconic Nunc Dimittis glows with quiet transcendence, and Georgy Sviridov's The Red Easter concludes the concert with a powerful narrative of suffering, hope and redemption.
