A minor inconsistency is a new comedy-drama by Joanna Oparek, director of the plays Whole Life and Good Family loved by the Gliwice audience. This time the author takes us to a hunting lodge in the mountains, for a weekend, after which nothing will be what it was. All it takes is a small and even funny worldview conflict for a meeting of friends to turn into a real pandemonium. The heroes locked in one space will be forced to throw off their masks, and the truth about their relationship with each other will change them forever. A joint trip will prove to be a test of their life attitudes and choices, friendship and love.
About the event
Joanna Oparek's comedy-drama is intelligent entertainment, as well as an insightful analysis of the problems of modern couples and the dismantling of the big-city ego. We need such a theater, because in our relationships we run away from direct confrontation, and conflicts remain in the sphere of conjecture until they become the object of therapy. Aspiring to a big-city lifestyle, social-media-pressured partners often define themselves by ideology, career, and political correctness. Joanna Oparek's Minor Inconsistency makes it clear that slogans and declarations turn out to be a blank facade when life's problems, unfulfilled ambitions and the crisis of masculinity and femininity come into play. Laughter here becomes a trap that engages the viewer in deep self-reflection. It is a brilliant, realistic theater in which we have the opportunity to take a close look at ourselves.
