DRIVES

Farewells are difficult, but you have to sail away. Leave your room, parents and school. Only to where? There is no wind and no direction. From the house there is a roof on which we drift, a few photos, memories, emotions - what good we take with us.

We're drifting. Somebody's singing. Someone's making sure we don't drift away from each other. Someone knows how to make others laugh when no one has the strength anymore. Someone is trying to manage all this drift.

What will be the world we reach? Does such a world already exist? How to find the force that will help set the direction? Our only hope is that we're in this together.

Growing up is a constant farewell: to childhood, to home, to imagine yourself and your own future. In today's world, it is also a farewell to a sense of stability, security and faith in a better future.

DRYF is a performance created by students from the Stanisław Noakowski School of Architecture and Construction in Warsaw as part of the project “TISZ TR 2024-2026”.

DRIFT is the voice of those who have not yet got anywhere, but have already sailed away from what they knew. It is a story of grief, vulnerability and hope, of fear of the future and the search for strength to enter it.
