It's hard to count the festivals he attended — even before he learned to walk. Growing up in the rhythms of roots reggae and British dub, from an early age he traveled with his parents who shared a passion for this music with him. He started collecting vinyls at the age of 16, and four years later he mixed for various teams and recorded his first dubplates with such legends as Don Carlos, Horace Andy and Queen Omega.

The Roots-I-Vories project, initially created by two people, today runs independently, remaining faithful to the musical roots and values that accompany it from an early age. As a selector, sound system operator and MC, he treats music like a language, and builds his sets like manifestos. Each piece carries a specific message — about unity, respect and equality.

Its own sound system opens a new chapter for Roots-I-Vories. Using the subwoofer section — sub & kick — taken from the Echophonics Sound System (formerly known as Equal Brothers), the artist not only develops his own sound, but also continues the story of the scene. At the same time, it cultivates a beautiful tradition of sound system culture, in which equipment is passed from one team to another, and with it — experience, energy and heritage of subsequent generations.

You ready?!

👊👊👊

★ Roots Revival Soundsystem ★

Roots Revival Soundsystem is a project whose mission is to promote sound system culture in Poland and in the world.

The origins of Roots Revival date back to 2006, when after several years of playing in other collectives, Rootskontrolla and Jaszol decided to join forces. Soon after, inspired by Jamaican sounds and legendary British sessions, they built probably the first sound system of its kind in the country.

At the beginning of 2022, Tomana Dub joined the selection team, also providing organizational and graphic support.

Based on their unique energy, distinctive style and solid crew, Roots Revival want to represent what they believe to be the best of the roots & culture genre.

In addition, Jaszol is responsible for the creation and management of Tribe 84 Records, as well as the organization of the Bass Camp festival in the south of Poland.

Vibes up!
