On the show: Canterville Ghost, I Like Bats
Autumn is here for good and darkness is taking over the streets faster and the ubiquitous pumpkins remind us that Halloween is approaching. On this occasion, October 31, we evoke the ghosts of Polish genre cinema from our archive.
In our show under the name “Dark Tapes” we show native horror films, which, although more funny than scary, certainly provide a lot of emotions. To begin with, we propose a short film — a parody of horror films from the Hammer label by Ewa and Czesław Petelski. As a highlight of the program we will present the cult horror of Grzegorz Warchoł. We are talking, of course, about the ridiculously terrible “Ghost of Canterville” and the terribly funny “I like bats”.
This evening on the screen will face the vampiric powers with the techniques of psychoanalysis and the spirit faithful to the traditional methods of scaring with the rationalism of American capitalists. This is a real clash of camp aestheticians on 35 millimeters of film tape. Only our viewers can get out of it.
