About the event

We invite you to the concert of the DUDLEY TAFT BAND (U.S.A.), as part of the European tour 2026, which will take place in the Performance Hall of the Municipal Cultural Center in Nowy Sącz on November 6, 2026 at 19:00

Dudley Taft grew up in the American Midwest, where he learned the values of friendship, spice blues, rock and roll and good food. With a background at Berklee College of Music as well as years of touring with rock bands Sweet Water and Second Coming, Dudley is a bluesrocker for thinking men. There's plenty of nonchalance here, but also the sensibility of a thoughtful songwriter. In his music you can hear a mixture of delta roots with Seattle grunge, a southern accent with an energetic crunch. Dudley was nominated for “Best Guitarist” at the 2017 European Blues Awards.

Dudley's music career began in high school, when he and his friend Trey Anastasio (from Phish) formed the band Space Antelope. In the 1990s, he joined the Seattle band Sweet Water, touring the States with Monster Magnet, Candlebox and Alice in Chains. After recording two albums for Atlantic, he left the band to join Second Coming. After consecutive tours, he released an album for Capitol Records and achieved success with the single “Vintage Eyes”, which reached number 10 on the Rock Radio charts.

Dudley Taft has been playing blues rock since 2006, when he founded Dudley Taft Blues Overkill with like-minded Seattle musicians. After playing in clubs and casinos in the Pacific Northwest for several years, he released the album Left For Dead. Taft recorded and released a total of eight studio albums and one CD recorded live during European tours in 2014 and 2015. Left for Dead in 2010 came Deep Deep Blue in 2012, Screaming In The Wind in 2014, Skin and Bones in 2015, Live In Europe in 2016, Summer Rain in 2017, Simple Life in 2019, Cosmic Radio in 2020, Guitar Kingdom in 2023 and The Speed of Life in 2025. Album after album, Dudley Taft's music finds its way to an ever-growing audience, connecting with new listeners while maintaining Engaging long-time fans.

His songs, his raw voice, his penetrating lead guitar, all recorded in his own studio in Cincinnati (which he bought from Peter Frampton in 2013), show the artist maturing to become the kind of terrible threat that won't give up — Goldmine Magazine

Dudley Taft sounds a lot smoother than he looks, and his guitar playing is a real discovery. He manages to squeeze incredibly complicated plays into short phrases that round out his enjoyable vocal presentations — Blues Matters Magazine

He is an uncompromising bluesman, and his music draws on the best qualities of his creators and helps define the genre. — Ben Vee Blues

I love rock & roll and blues, and the way Dudley Taft combines them has always delighted me — Rock Doctor

Dudley has gained a loyal following in the Netherlands, Germany and Poland — Rootstime Belgium

Dudley Taft is an intriguing mix of blues influences like Elmore James and Lightning Hopkins... There's a bit of Southern country rock, Texas blues, Seattle grunge, and even a bit of hard heavy rock that Dudley brings together to create a sound that is more than just the sum of the individual ingredients — Blues Rock Review

Somewhere on the musical spectrum, somewhere between Texas blues ZZ Top and southern rock Lynyrd Skynyrd, you'll find Dudley Taft's musical style. This guitar master returns with another batch of tracks that will grind your teeth and shake your bones. Built around classic blues riffs, gripping rock guitars, and metal notes, Dudley Taft continues to blend the past with the present to create a hell of an awesome sound — Examiner.com Atlanta
