Throughout his life, Dylan LeBlanc has found himself between places, people and narratives. Raised in the American South between Texas, Louisiana and Alabama, he has created a songwriting voice that draws on Americana, folk, country and rootsrock, but at the same time harbors a cinematic and dark nerve.
On the album Coyote, his first self-produced release, LeBlanc unfolds his most ambitious work to date: a semi-autobiographical tale of a man on the run from the past, caught between crime, love and the pursuit of redemption. The album was recorded in legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals and features contributions from experienced musicians such as Fred Eltringham and Jim “Moose” Brown.
LeBlanc has been recognized for years for his ability to reconcile vast American landscapes with intimate personal narratives, and on Coyote he reaches new heights. The songs move through dusty borderlands, moral grey areas and human fracture surfaces, carried forward by his distinctive voice and assured melodic craft. The result is both raw, vulnerable and magnificent.
When Dylan LeBlanc visits Europe and BETA, it is with a repertoire that embraces his entire career and with Coyote as the natural focal point. Audiences can look forward to a concert experience where strong songs, evocative arrangements and American storytelling tradition go hand in hand.
